Camerata Strings

TYO Camerata Strings provides a comprehensive introduction to the string orchestra, and for many young participants is their first ensemble experience. Camerata Strings aims to foster a love of music and promote a solid foundation for string playing in an inclusive environment which emphasises team work and community.

Musicians who join Camerata Strings are expected to be able to manage their own instruments and music (carry, unpack, etc.). A range of fun and engaging repertoire is learned in weekly tutorials and rehearsals, tailored specifically to the needs of the participants to develop string technique, musicianship, rhythmic and tonal skills, listening skills and aural training. There's no better place to start your musical journey!
