minimum standard AMEB Grade 5

Instruments required: flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn.

All woodwind applicants are automatically considered for this program.

There will be 5 student woodwind quintets formed, including one based in Launceston, and one consisting of students in school years 7/8 2012.

Through the year these ensembles will receive tutoring, workshops and performance opportunities with leading professional wind players.

The quintets will come together for an intensive weekend during the year with guest tutors. Dates are still being coordinated.

Various woodwind quintet students will also be invited join with several of the string orchestras for different projects through the year.
