Camerata Strings Conductor

Join us in inspiring, nurturing and developing young Tasmanian musicians to perform the very best they can and instil in them a life-long love of music!

The Camerata Strings Conductor is accountable for the development and engagement of the ensemble participants - the music and weekly rehearsals are at the very heart of the role. TYO Camerata Strings provides a comprehensive introduction to the string orchestra, and for many young players is their first ensemble experience. The group aims to foster a love of music and promote a solid foundation for string playing in an inclusive environment which emphasises team work and community. Read more about the ensemble here.

TYO Management aims to reduce the administrative burden on the delivery team, however the consistency of the overarching organisational methodology, and delivery of our funding requirements do require your input. As the recognised authority in your area of expertise, you will also provide repertoire proposals, tutorial scheduling, and relevant information to ensure smooth delivery of the program.
