Christopher Bearman, OAM
TYO Chief Conductor
Christopher was born in Chichester, Sussex UK. His music education was at Dartington College of the Arts and the Guildhall School of Music (London) where he studied violin with Eli Goren. Following his graduation, he was a professional violinist based in London for more than 20 years, playing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra; London Mozart Players; English Sinfonia and other leading ensembles. On moving to Australia in 1994, Christopher taught at Newcastle Conservatorium NSW.

Tracey Patten
Conductor: TYO Percussion Ensemble
After completing an Honours Degree in Arts in Music from the Victorian College of the Arts, Tracey used her Willem Van Otterloo Orchestral Prize to study at the Sweelinck Conservatorium of Music in Amsterdam, studying with Principals from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and various leading European freelance players.

Naarah Barnes
Ensemble Support
Naarah is a prize-winning young actor, singer, musician and performer who proudly identifies as an Aboriginal woman from the Gija tribe in The Kimberley, WA. Naarah has appeared as a soloist as well as a performer in various productions in Australia and overseas: these include The Sapphires, My Fair Lady, Legally Blonde, We Will Rock You, Mary Poppins, 9 to 5, Lucia Di Lammermoor and Pride and Prejudice.

Joana Cubillos
Administrator
Joana has PhD in Marine Science and has run a small business for the past 10 years. She has been heavily involved in the Folk and Latin American music scene in Hobart for the past 20 years. Joana is an active member of her community, being part of boards of several community organizations, where she has gained extensive experience coordinating event, conference and festivals.

Kyna Hart
Chief Executive Officer
Kyna is a management, communications and engagement specialist with extensive experience as a lead manager on complex private and public-sector projects. A published writer and researcher, Kyna believes passionately in the value of lifelong musical education and involvement. Kyna has worked within a range of sectors, including health, community and government relations, infrastructure, funding development, education and research.

Kim Bishop
Conductor: TYO Camerata Strings
Kim Bishop is one of Australia’s leading violin teachers. She studied in Australia and the US, then founded a very successful music studio in Melbourne. She mentored students as young as two to University level studies. Many went on to high-level careers in Australia and abroad, such as . Today, Kim's focus is on her Hobart-based Suzuki Method violin studio, teaching interstate and internationally.

Quin Thomson
Conductor: TYO Youth Chorale
Quin (Helen) Thomson is a classically-trained soprano, musical director and composer. During an eight-year stint in the Netherlands, incorporating regular performances with such outfits as Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Choir, the Netherlands Bach Society, the Egidius College and the Netherlands Radio Choir, as well as the study of Sonology at the Royal Conservatorium of the Hague, Helen attracted Australia Council funding for their debut CD, meditatio / xv.

Hugo Pieri
Conductor: TYO Junior Chorale
Hugo Pieri began his music education at a young age, studying piano, clarinet and participating in orchestral and choir ensembles. He completed a Bachelor's degree in Music at UFMG (Federal University), Brazil, a Diplôme d’Études at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, France and a Master of Music (Early Music) and Singing at Musikhochschule Trossingen, Germany.
