TYO Board & Management

Tasmanian Youth Orchestras is governed by a voluntary Board with a suite of diverse skills. The Board provides governance oversight for the organisation, including strategic planning, financial control, legal compliance and review of organisational performance. The Board is stable, aligned, progressive and innovative, has led a transformation of the organisation over the last decade and has a strong vision and strategy for the future, articulated through the TYO 2021-2024 Strategic Plan, which includes a 2030 horizon.

 

The TYO Board is supported by the TYO Chief Executive Officer as well as three dedicated sub-committees, which provide focused support and recommendations on specific areas of TYO's activities

An international trade specialist, Sally joined the TYO Board in 2020, bringing particular experience in marketing, business development and strategy. Sally chairs TYO's Fundraising & Development Committee.

Lyndal Moore

Lyndal is a Chartered Accountant, CFO at Mosaic and former Deputy President of the Australian Red Cross. A former TYO cellist, Lyndal joined the TYO Board in 2022. Lyndal chairs TYO's Finance & Risk Committee.

Dominique Baker

Dominique is a pianist, music educator, director and accompanist working with musicians from all walks of life. She is dedicated to fostering strong personal connections to music and joined the TYO Board in 2023.

Tony has over 20 years experience working in managemental roles within the Tasmanian Education sector and comes with a wealth of executive, board and chair experience. Tony joined the Board in 2023.

Mark Bain

Mark, Tutti Trumpet with TSO, is a professional musician with an extensive international performance career; a brass teacher, public speaker, and performance coach. Mark chairs TYO's Artistic & Education Committee.

Kyna is a management, communications and engagement specialist with extensive experience as a lead on complex private and public-sector projects.

Ross is a digital media strategist and enjoys working with businesses at various stages of development. He is member of several other not-for-profit boards and joined the TYO board in 2016.

Clare Ramsden

Board Member

Dr Clare Ramsden is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Deputy Director of Allied Health at the Tasmanian Health Service, South. She completed her doctoral studies in Clinical Neuropsychology at La Trobe University, before going on to work in clinical roles in acquired brain injury and rehabilitation services.
