TYO actively commissions new pieces from Australian composers and 2022 saw a brand new work from our very own Youth Chorale conductor: Quin Thomson. 'Fantasia on the Aeolian Round' was created for chorale and a bespoke chamber ensemble, birthing a new TYO ensemble: the Aeolian Ensemble. Quin is a superb composer who has had works commissioned and performed here and overseas. TYO firmly believe in championing Australian compositions and hope you enjoy this premiere performance.
