TYO Team

Support, relationships, facilitation and resourcing: the TYO staff team are there to manage a complex web of moving parts, keep operations running smoothly and ensure everyone involved with TYO has what they need to make glorious music!

 

More broadly, management has a responsibility to TYO’s financial supporters and the wider family of TYO stakeholders, to ensure day to day work is consistent with TYO’s values and vision – as well as oriented towards growth and sustainability.

TYO is also extremely fortunate to benefit from the efforts and goodwill of many volunteers from the wider TYO family. We couldn't do it without you!

Kyna Hart

Chief Executive Officer

Kyna is a management, communications and engagement specialist with extensive experience as a lead manager on complex private and public-sector projects. A published writer and researcher, Kyna believes passionately in the value of lifelong musical education and involvement. Kyna has worked within a range of sectors, including health, community and government relations, infrastructure, funding development, education and research.

Wendy Page

Pathways Coordinator

Wendy has come to the TYO after a long career a professional French horn player and is keen to be working closely with Tasmania's next generation of musicians to support them while sharing her experiences and knowledge.

Rob Rule

Rob Rule

Production Manager

Rob comes to TYO with over 20 years working on concert event management and planning. Rob is a percussionist and has worked with a variety of ensembles from community to the Australian Army Band Tasmania. With his own business which supplies percussion instruments and staging equipment around the state, he brings to the TYO team his experience and efficiency to concerts and events.

Rachel Edwards

Chorales Coordinator

Rachel is a vocal music specialist with over two decades of experience as a performer and educator. A founding director of Musicians League Ltd., she has performed and organised events internationally and now brings her expertise home to Tasmania, fostering creativity and connection through music.

Alexander Rodrigues

Alexander Rodrigues

Programs Administrator

Alexander is a TYO alumnus currently working as a freelance conductor, specialising in ballet. Born in Brisbane, he studied both music and astrophysics at UQ before moving to Tasmania where he completed a Master of Music at UTAS in orchestral conducting with maestro Johannes Fritzsch. While in Tasmania, he was principal oboist of the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra before joining the TYO Team.
