Wendy Page

Wendy has come to the TYO after a long career as an orchestral French horn player. She was appointed Associate Principal French Horn of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra at the age of 21, before moving to Tasmania twenty years ago to take up the position of Principal French Horn with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. 

Wendy's experience as a soloist, chamber musician and frequent guest musician with orchestras around Australia and New Zealand, is broad and diverse, and she brings this to the TYO family in her multi-faceted role as administrator, mentor and collaborator.

Wendy credits a combination of excellent teaching, wonderful role professional role models, as well as positive experiences with the WA and Australian Youth Orchestras, and brings this to her enthusiastic advocacy for orchestral education. She's so glad to have found a place where this breadth of experience can be put to good use in facilitating the many benefits and fostering a love of orchestral music in the next generation.
