TYO's 60th Anniversary Gala Concert in Hobart

A sparkler of a gala to celebrate 60 years of TYO!  Since 1965, TYO has been the foundational musical home of thousands of young Tasmanians. On 6 September 2025, the combined forces of the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra, TYO Alumni & Guest Musicians, the TYO Tasmanian Youth Chorale and Guest Singers from the TSO Chorus combined to deliver a truly special anniversary concert in Hobart's Federation Concert Hall, under the direction of TYO Chief Conductor Thomas Rimes and TYO Associate Conductor Alexander Rodrigues. HUGE thanks to everyone who rehearsed and performed this wonderful program, whether your TYO journey started in the 1960s or the 2020s!
